Registration for the 16th International Conference on Stability, Handling and Use of Liquid Fuels is now open!

IASH 2019 will benefit anyone with a technical and scientific interest in the development, use, handling and storage of fuels.  This is a unique event where delegates can meet with colleagues from around the world to discuss fuels issues that affect every country.  A wide range of technologies relating to the stability and distribution of liquid fuels from the point of manufacture to end-use will be discussed.

IASH 2019 will be comprised of four full days of technical sessions with a separate Technical Poster / Exhibitor reception on Monday evening.  A commercial exposition will run throughout the symposium.

Your registration fee includes four days of technical sessions, all program materials, breakfast, lunch and breaks, as well as a poster session and networking receptions. It also includes the IASH Awards Dinner. Membership in the International Association for Stability, Handling and Use of Liquid Fuels for the years 2020 - 2021 and access to the conference proceedings in the online IASH Library are also included.


Travel by Plane and Ground Transportation
The Hilton Long Beach is approximately 7 miles from Long Beach Airport (LGB); approximately 21 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and approximately 20 miles from John Wayne Airport/Orange County (SNA). A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity beyond your planned date of departure) is required to enter the United States. You are also advised to contact your consulate for the most current Visa information before traveling if you have questions. Registration and Information Desk
Symposium registration will open on Sunday, September 8, at 2:00 pm and will be located on the first floor/lobby level of the hotel. For the remainder of the symposium, the registration and information desk will be located outside of the International Ballroom located on the second floor.

Dress Code
The dress code for the meeting and receptions is business casual. As meeting room temperatures tend to vary, please bring a light jacket or sweater for your comfort. The dress code for the IASH Awards Dinner is cocktail attire (please no jeans or shorts).

Time Zone and Temperature 
Long Beach is located in the PST (Pacific Standard Time) time zone. The average temperature in September ranges from 82°F - 63°F (28°C - 17°C). The weather should be mild with minimal chance of rain.


Sunday, September 8
Join us in the Gallerie Ballroom, located on the second floor, for our opening reception. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to network with your peers, make new friends and greet old ones in a beautiful setting.

Monday, September 9
A dedicated Technical Poster Session and Reception will be held in International Ballroom I and II. Representatives will be available to provide one-on-one discussions about the technical posters that will be presented. Exhibits will also be on display.

Wednesday, September 11
The IASH Awards Dinner will be held on the Queen Mary; the ship that set a new benchmark in transatlantic travel for the rich and famous. From her transformation as a grand and stately ocean liner, to a troopship for World War II, the Queen Mary has called Long Beach home since December 1967 when she docked for the final time as a passenger cruise ship. Throughout the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to get an up close and personal look at this ship filled with history, elegance and grandeur.

Thursday, September 12 
Join us for our closing reception which will be held at the Courtyard Plaza. This will be your opportunity to network one last time with your fellow attendees.
